Due to the high volume of e-mails,

• It is a a good idea to check our website first before sending a request or query. You may not receive a reply if  the answer is already shown in our website.
• We are unable to respond to general questions about Buddhism, although short, specific questions about our monastery and tradition are welcome.
• We are not able to assist with research projects or school projects via email or telephone.

Note: Birken has a VOIP phone that operates over a satellite connection. (This is the best arrangement we have been able to obtain, given our rural location.) Incoming calls go straight to an answering machine, they do not ring in our office. If you wish to leave a message, please speak slowly & clearly.
