Canadian tax receipts

Birken receipts are normally issued by e-mail; please include your e-mail address with any donation. (Receipts can be sent by mail, instead, if this is specified with the donation.) You can expect a tax receipt in early August and early January. We may issue receipts earlier in some cases.

Canadian tax receipts must include your name and residential address; if you donate electronically, please be sure we have your residential address if you wish a tax receipt.

CanadaHelps issues a tax receipt; you will not also receive a tax receipt from Birken if you use this method.

Electronic transfers & fees

PayPal uses an e-mail address to identify the recipient of the funds. Our e-mail address is meditate@birken.ca
CanadaHelps and PayPal require a credit card.

The fees charged are part of our expenses; you get a tax receipt for the full amount of your donation.CanadaHelps charges a percentage; PayPal charges a sliding scale.
