Birken in Kamloops
Ajahn Sona plans to make Sunday morning teaching visits to Kamloops once a month, on the last Sunday of each month.
These monthly visits are suspended for the summer, and will continue in September.
Note: The visit in September will be on 2nd last Sunday: September 19th.
Where:
"Let’s Move" Yoga Studio, 925 McGill Place, Kamloops. See the Google Map. (Driving tip: On the Google Map, click "Street View" to see the entrance to McGill Place with the "Let's Move" Studio building just to the left of centre. To reach the parking lot: just as you enter McGill Place, bear right, following the white puffy cloud signs along the right side, all the way up the hill.)

The 2.5-hour session will consist of three parts:

Cost:
There is no charge. In the time-honoured spirit of Buddhist monasticism, "dana" (donations freely offered) will be gratefully accepted. Cheques should be made to "Birken".

- The period from 9:30-10:15 am is designed for those for those interested to deepen their practice of Buddhist meditation. Meditation mats + chairs will be available.
- Ajahn will offer a Dhamma talk at 10:15 am, and answer questions afterwards. Here is a sample Dhamma Talk, given on May 30, 2010, called "The Benefits of Meditation." (51 minutes long, MP3 format, 17 MB)
- After the casual pot-luck meal 11 am, Ajahn Sona will be available to chat about Buddhist practice + "life in general."
