5-day Retreat
Silent retreat for meditators with some retreat experience. Sitting periods of 40 to 45 minutes.
Regular instruction; Dhamma talks. Interviews available.
This is a silent retreat – for people who have some meditation experience and have attended a residential retreat before. It provides sitting meditation periods (40 to 45 minutes), alternating with walking meditation. The retreat is conducted in silence: no conversation between participants from Wednesday tea-time to Sunday noon. There is an opportunity for general questions at tea time, and personal interviews or chats with Ajahn Sona during the retreat. Depending on the experience of the people in the group, the daily talks may be meditation instructions or Dhamma talks, at a level appropriate to the group.
The retreat starts at tea-time (4:30 or 5:00 pm, depending on the season); please try to be here at least 1/2 hour earlier to settle in before the retreat starts.
The retreat ends at noon, after the main meal.
