8,9,10-day Retreat

Silent retreat for experienced meditators. Previous residential silent retreat experience required.

Extended practice periods.  Dhamma talks.  Interviews available.

This is a silent retreat – for experienced meditators with a regular meditation practice and who have attended a residential retreat before. It provides extended meditation periods (2 to 3 hours), allowing meditators to alternate sitting with walking meditation at their discretion. The retreat is conducted in silence: no conversation between participants during the period of the retreat. Reading and listening to CD or tapes are discouraged. There are daily Dhamma talks and opportunities for personal interviews or chats with Ajahn Sona, the Abbot, during the retreat.

The retreat starts at tea-time (4:30 or 5:00 pm, depending on the season); please try to be here at least 1/2 hour earlier to settle in before the retreat starts.

The retreat ends at noon, after the main meal.
