From KAMLOOPS:

Turn south (towards Merritt) off the TransCanada (going west: Exit 368) onto Hwy 5A. Drive south of Kamloops on Hwy 5A for about 25 km. Turn Left at ROCHE LAKE RD. (Look for 'Roche Lake Resort' sign.) Now refer to the ROCHE LAKE ROAD directions below...

From VANCOUVER / MERRITT:

Drive east on Hwy 1 to Hope. Take Hwy 5 (the Coquihalla) to MERRITT. Next, take Exit 290 onto Hwy 5A (heading north to Kamloops). Note: do not follow Hwy 5. Drive about 70 km; turn Right on ROCHE LAKE RD. (Look for 'Roche Lake Resort' sign.) Now refer to the ROCHE LAKE ROAD directions just below...

. . . Once you're on ROCHE LAKE ROAD:

Follow this gravel road for 7 km. Then turn Right at SMITH LAKE Forest Service Road (you will see a 'Birken' sign indicating the turn). Follow the 'Birken' signs up Smith Lake road for another 7 km.
