We Made it! Our Insulation Project Matching Donation Goal of $10,000 has been met – Anumodana!

In early August we first shared the news of our Vihara (main building) insulation project and our remaining costs of $50,000. A generous donor stepped forward with an offer to match all Insulation Project donations made from August 25 through September 15, 2022, up to $10,000 in total.

As of today we have received 70 donations totaling $14,380, as well as the exceedingly generous matching gift of $10,000. Thank you to everyone for your truly inspiring expressions of generosity!

Since we first announced our Insulation Project in early August, 110 donations have been received totaling $42,805, including another $10,000 from a very generous donor made earlier in August.

Be sure to note “INSULATION PROJECT” on your donation, whether it is made to our “General Giving Fund” at CanadaHelps, through Interac e-transfer (Canadian financial institutions only; see Interac e-Transfers on our “Support” page), by cheque or by cash sent through the mail (our mailing address is at the bottom of this newsletter). Any donations received which exceed the $50,000 threshold will be applied to our General Giving Fund for day-to-day monastery needs.
