A Message from Ajahn Sona…
As many areas of the country and the world start to re-open, we wanted to pass along a message from our Abbot, Ajahn Sona, concerning Birken Monastery’s plans for the foreseeable future:
“Birken is unable to receive visitors during this pandemic. When we will open is simply unknown, as is the course of this epidemic. We prefer not to set any dates and will only consider opening when it is safe for all residents and guests.” ~ Ajahn Sona

If you would like to continue to support the monastery during this time, we invite you to visit our Food & Material Offerings page for an updated list of items that would be helpful.
