Register today for our 10-Day Virtual Metta Retreat
Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 – Friday, Jan. 1, 2021
If you haven’t registered already, we want to again invite you to join the Birken community virtually at the end of this month for a 10-day Metta (Loving-kindness) Retreat led by Ajahn Sona, broadcast on Ajahn Sona’s YouTube Channel. Ajahn Sona’s video invitation to the retreat can be found here.
The retreat will feature:
- Evening Dhamma Talks
- Live Teatime Q&A
- Group Meditations
- Chanting
- Daily Reflections
- Guided Meditations
- Nature walks around Birken’s landscape
How to Join
- General Registration – Participate by tuning in to the YouTube broadcasts. Registration for general participation will be open until December 21st. Registration is not required, but will allow us to send you helpful information prior to the retreat.
- Zoom Teatime Registration – Participate live with Ajahn Sona in the Zoom Room for Dhamma Q&A – limited to 50 participants. Meditators joining on Zoom must commit to attending all Dhamma Talks and Teatimes, and maintaining a daily sitting practice (at least once per day) throughout the retreat. Selections and notifications for the live Zoom teatime Q&A sessions will happen around December 1st, and a waiting list will be maintained after that time.
Visit birken.ca/metta for full details. If you have any questions about the retreat, please email us for more information.
New Ways to Give
We’re updated our Support page with refreshed details for Interac donations, plus two new ways to give through CanadaHelps. In addition to one time and monthly donations, you can now also support us with Securities & Mutual Funds, and Tribute Giving in memory or in honour of someone dear to you. More donation options will be announced in the new year…stay tuned.
As this year comes to a close, please know that each of you are in our hearts and in our minds. To all our generous donors, we at Birken rejoice in your merit. You allow us to continue living and sharing the Dhamma. Anumodana!
May you be well, happy and peaceful.
